ДЕКОНСТРУКЦІЯ КЛАСИЦИСТИЧНИХ СПОСОБІВ ОСМИСЛЕННЯ ІМПЕРІЇ
Анотація
У статті досліджено комплекс історичних тропів, які використовує сучасна прокремлівська пропаганда для концептуалізації та легітимації російської війни проти України. Якщо попередні дослідження здебільшого зосереджувалися на історичних аналогіях, пов’язаних із Другою світовою війною та Холодною війною, то в цій праці виокремлено інший пласт історичної аргументації, що бере свій початок у політичній культурі Російської імперії, зокрема в риториці доби правління Катерини II. Особливу увагу приділено низці класицистичних імперських тропів, які вперше були сформульовані або набули свого класичного вигляду в листуванні Вольтера з імператрицею під час російсько-турецької війни 1768–1774 рр.
Спираючись на підходи Корнеліуса Касторіадіса, Гейдена Вайта, Бенедикта Андерсона та сучасних студій пам’яті, автор розглядає історичне уявлення як самостійний об’єкт аналізу та досліджує стійкі схеми політичної аргументації, що ґрунтуються на ньому. Порівняльний аналіз джерел кінця XVIII ст. і сучасності засвідчує тяглість і відтворюваність низки моделей історичного уявлення. Їхня політична функція полягає у створенні ефекту замісної історичної аналогії, за допомогою якої сучасна військова агресія репрезентується через мову, образи та аргументаційні схеми, пов’язані з подіями й діячами минулого, що робить її зрозумілою та легітимною. До таких моделей належать троп освіченого правителя як цивілізаційної сили, ідея володіння античною спадщиною як ознаки справжньої європейськості, образ Росії як останнього захисника істинних європейських цінностей, а також різноманітні форми уявної візантійської тяглості.
У статті обґрунтовано, що ці схеми історичного уявлення мають значний ступінь автономності щодо конкретних політичних проєктів, для легітимації яких вони використовуються. Водночас як риторика доби Катерини II, так і сучасний російський політичний дискурс демонструють виразно інструментальний характер використання історичних аргументів, коли взаємно суперечливі тропи залучаються залежно від потреб політичної експансії. Зроблено висновок, що порівняльний аналіз і деконструкція таких історичних тропів мають емансипативний потенціал, оскільки сприяють демістифікації механізмів переконання, характерних для воєнної пропаганди.
