TRADITIONAL SLEDGE TRANSPORT OF VOLYN’

Анотація

Traditional winter (sledge) public transport of historical-ethnographic Volyn’ is examined in the
article on the basis of field ethnographic materials and linguistic sources. Particularly, its typical
features in terms of its genetic origin are investigated. The author also analyses design of the chassis, the
shape of the body, types of common draw devices, everyday usage and the evolution of vehicles in the
end of XIX-XX centuries.
