BASIC TECHNICAL PRINCIPLES FOR BUILDING LOCAL COMPUTING SYSTEMS

Abstract

Theoretical researches of the basic technical principles of construction of local computer systems was conducted. Since the main purpose of local area networks is the sharing of resources and the implementation of interactive communication, the construction of computer systems based on local area networks is one of the main tasks of automation and computerization of the production process. The technical implementation of the exchange of information between technological control devices in large production areas is one of the most important stages of production automation. Until now the focus has been on reliability, but at the modern stage of development of automated control systems, the main component of which is computer technology, due attention should also be paid to the network topology.

The purpose of this research is to improve the methodology of synthesis of topology of local computer systems. The analysis of possible variants of structures of a complex of technical means of local networks for automation and computerization of various production was carried out. As a result, the importance of applying the basic principles of synthesis of the topology of the local area network for the management of computer systems, which are designed to control production processes, is emphasized. The optimal variants of structures of the complex of technical means of local networks for automation and computerization of various production are determined.

The reliability of the control computer system, consisting of many devices, is currently still considered insufficiently high, so not only individual devices, but also the computer system as a whole are duplicated in order to increase the reliability. Based on the results of calculations of reliability indicators of the control computer system, the probability curve of its trouble-free operation is constructed, which made it possible to assess the reliability of its operation. The calculated traffic of the local computer network confirms the efficiency of the developed structure of the local network, for which the parameters of the cable system are also calculated.
