ПЕРША ГАЛИЦЬКА МИТРОПОЛІЯ (БЛ. 1303–1347) У КОНТЕКСТІ ІСТОРІЇ СЛОВ’ЯНСЬКИХ ЦЕРКОВ ВІЗАНТІЙСЬКОГО ОБРЯДУ ТА ПОЛІТИКИ КОНСТАНТИНОПОЛЯ

Анотація


     У статті розглянуто історію Галицької митрополії першої половини ХІV ст. у контексті історії слов’янських церков візантійського обряду, передусім Тирновського і Печського патірархатів. Простежено тісні зв’язки становища цих церков зі становищем середньовічних слов’янських держав, політикою їхніх правителів і Візантії. Встановлено, що тоді як слов’янські церкви осягали статуси митрополій та патріархатів завдяки могутності покровителів-монархів, Візантія, перебуваючи у політичній, військовій та економічній кризі, тлумачила свою імперську церкву як інструмент впливу на слов’ян і використання їхніх ресурсів у своїх інтересах. Усвідомлюючи прагнення слов’янських церков до автономії і незалежності, Константинополь не пропускав зручних моментів, щоб понизити ранг церков-дочок шляхом посилення тимчасово слабших і ситуативно покірніших (Москви) для послаблення сильніших і схильних до діалогу з латинською церквою (Галич).
