ФОРМУВАННЯ НА ЗАХІДНОУКРАЇНСЬКИХ ЗЕМЛЯХ У ХІХ–НА  ПОЧАТКУ ХХ СТОЛІТЬ ІДЕЇ НАРОДНОГО СУВЕРЕНІТЕТУ ТА ЇЇ РЕАЛІЗАЦІЯ У ЗАХІДНОУКРАЇНСЬКІЙ НАРОДНІЙ РЕСПУБЛІЦІ (ЗУНР)

Анотація


Висвітлено ключові події, постаті та ідеї, які передували створенню Західноукраїнської Народної Республіки. Метою статті є виявлення основ історії зародження та політичної зрілості (самоусвідомлення) частини українського народу на західноукраїнських землях у ХІХ – на початку ХХ ст. Наголошено важливу роль внеску та ідей численних українських громадсько-політичних діячів у процесі національного становлення українців. Обґрунтовано закономірний характер об’єднання українців на початку ХХ ст. у власну державу, що було усвідомленим кроком політичного, культурного, економічного та національного розвитку українського народу.
Культурна самобутність українців, яка чітко відрізнялася від культури сусідніх народів, стала основою формування українців як етнічної групи, яка історично довела своє право на самовизначення і створення власної держави.
