КРУГЛИЙ СТІЛ «ВІДНОСИНИ УКРАЇНА–ЄС:УГОДА ПРО АСОЦІАЦІЮ МІЖ УКРАЇНОЮ ТА ЄС – QUO VADIS?»

Анотація

16 грудня 2014 р. у Львівському національному університеті імені Івана Франка та в Українському католицькому університеті відбувався круглий стіл у форматі відео-конферернції «ВІДНОСИНИ УКРАЇНА-ЄС: УГОДА ПРО АСОЦІАЦІЮ МІЖ УКРАЇНОЮ ТА ЄС – QUO VADIS?» за участю знаних фахівців та експертів з відносин між Україною та Європейським Союзом з Інституту міжнародних відносин Київського національного університету імені Тараса Шевченка, Національного університету «Києво-Могилянська академія» та Львівського регіонального інституту державного управління Національної Академії державного управління при Президентові України.

On December 16, 2014 the roundtable debate on the relations between the European Union and Ukraine took place at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and the Ukrainian Catholic University (Ukraine) with the participation of well-known Ukrainian experts from the Institute of International Relations of the Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University, National University «Kyiv-Mohyla Academy» and the Lviv Regional Institute for Public Administration of the National Academy of Public Administration by the President of Ukraine. The main attention of the participants was focused on the legal and political aspects of signing, ratifying, temporary application and entering into force of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement. Special attention was paid to the discussion of the foreign and security issues as a part of the political agreement of the EU in the light of the current challenges for the security and stability in Europe and on the global scale.

During the discussions on the «economic part» of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement, the key issues were identified such as the consequences of the introduction of the free trade area between the Contracting parties, as importance of the provisions about the protection of competition in the EU, the EU rules on public procurement, and
the EU provisions on the EU Antidumping measures and policies for the prosperous and due fulfillment of the mutual obligations by the parties.

The contributions of the participants of the round-table debate are presented in the first part of this review, reflecting the positions of the authors on the issues concerned. The roundtable debate took place wtithin the process of the realization of the Jean Monnet Project 553310-EPP-1-2014-1-UA-EPPJMO-MODULE «Summer Courses in EU Law and Policies».
