Leszek Dzięgiel’s and Stepan Makarchuk’s correspondence as a source for theresearch of scientific contacts of Krakow and Lviv ethnologists

The author presents the correspondence from 1990–1991 between the head of the Chair of Slavic Ethnography at the Jagiellonian University of Krakow Leszek Dzięgiel and the head of the Chair of History and Ethnography of Ukraine at the Lviv University Stepan Makarchuk. These materials illustrate the interest of the leading Krakow ethnologists in cooperation with the new ethnographic department in Lviv, as well as the possible directions for such cooperation: the exchange of scientific literature and experience in the teaching of ethnological disciplines, the common ethnographic practices of students of the Krakow and Lviv universities and others.
