Анотація


Functional foods and nutraceuticals provide on apportunity to improve the human health, reduce health care costs and support economic development. Functional foods and natural health products encompass a wild range of food and ingredients with a variety of bioactives responsible for their efficacy in health promotion and disease prevention. This presentation focused on the definition and differences between functional food and nutraceuticals. The challenges and opportunities, motivating the development of functional foods were discussed.
