The structure and physicochemical properties of
chromium silicide coatings applied to carbon steel 20 have been studied. The diffusion
coatings were obtained by the gas method. Corrosion studies showed that application
of the coatings led to increased corrosion resistance in various industrially
important aggressive media (3 % NaCl, solutions H2SO4,
HCl, H3PO4, CH3COOH, HNO3).
