A new ternary compound DyGeSi0.75 was
found in the system Dy–Ge–Si. The crystal structure
of the compound was determined by X-ray powder diffraction (Fe Kα
radiation). The refined composition was DyGe1.02(2)Si0.73(2) and the structure type α-ThSi2, space group I41/amd, Pearson symbol tI12, a = 4.052(3), c = 13.6207(10)
Å, V = 221.78(3) Å3, RB = 0.1011.
