Practice of Political Participation: Methodological Basis and Methodical Decisions

Анотація


The article is devoted to the construction of an adequate research strategy of practices of political participation based on a genuine understanding of the meaning of social practices in the framework of the structural-constructivist approach. The author analyzes the main provisions of the P. Bourdieu’s theory of practices. The article emphasizes the importance of irrationality, spontaneity and subconscious of social practices. The attention is focused on the importance of habitus and experience of social structures in the building of the practices. The author gives the scheme of indirect mutual infl uence of structures, practices, habituses. The article explains the scheme of continuous modernization and transformation of practices through time with a constant reproduction of their original meaning. An explanation of the (group) typicality and simultaneous (personalized) uniqueness of any social practice are provided. The author emphasizes the importance of a relative methodical tools to the theory of practice for the study of political participation of individuals. Substantiated the using of quantitative and qualitative methods in the researching of practices of political participation.
