Анотація


The article is devoted to research the career phenomenon within the classics of sociological thought. The paper analyzes the main features of understanding the career phenomenon in the works of classics of sociological thought: K. Marx, E. Durkheim, M. Weber and domestic sociologists. The ideas of E. Durkheim about the division of labor between different people as an aspect of career achievements of various social groups was analyzed. The problems of career achievements in the functional distribution of labor practices among different people based on their abilities according to M. Weber are investigated. The work has compared the sociological and sociocultural aspects of the career phenomenon. The text presents G. Hofstede’s classification of the relationship between the organization and employees in the context of career accomplishments of representatives of various social segments. The paper explores the attitude towards the career issues of representatives of the theory of structural functionalism, in particular T. Parsons and R. Merton. In addition to analyzing the works of the classics of sociological thought, the work contains views on the career phenomenon of famous Ukrainian sociologists, in particular T. Izotova, Yu. Palekhа, V. Pogrebnа, V. Pilipenko, A. Biklа, V. Buregа and others. The article analyzes and compares the peculiarities of realization of career strategiesin the industrial and postindustrial societies.
